Extended-release capsules of Qysmia are available in four strengths: Qysmia 3.75 mg/23 mg, Qysmia 7.5 mg/46 mg, Qysmia 11.25 mg/ 69 mg, and Qysmia 15mg/92mg. The ratio of phentermine to topiramate is 1: 6.13.

Topamax is the brand name of topiramate. Topiramate is an anticonvulsant and used in the treatment of seizures in epilepsy and the prevention of migraine headaches. It reduces the weight of patients as its most common side effect. This side effect can be used as an adjuvant in weight loss by coadministration of topiramate with phentermine.
